Getting better every day

My run yesterday had me feeling like I was flying.

It was a 25 minute continuous run, the second-to-last of my recovery program. Recovery has not been straight line (no one said it would be!), and I have been trying to maintain a healthy balance between caution and progress. I am still scared of pushing too much and am constantly asking myself "is this okay? is this too much?" -- I want to reach the finish line, but not if it means never seeing another start line.

Despite all this, the run felt amazing. I ran my go-to 5K loop for the first time since the spring, and there was a very liberating familiarity to it. Some minor nagging feelings in my foot/ankle here and there, but overall I felt powerful AF. The comeback is still in progress, but oh is it ever coming.
