Gold Star Moments

After watching the Olympic marathons this weekend, I’m reminded of what incredible things the human body is capable of. For some people, that’s running a 2:08:38 marathon in crazy heat (we see you @kipchogeeliud). For other people, it’s getting out of bed and doing our very best. Whatever “best” looks for us that day. Not every effort is met by a gold medal 🥇, but that doesn’t make it any less meaningful.

I am grateful for the healing I have done in the last year, but physical and mental. I’m proud of what I am accomplishing every week, and how I am able to push a little harder with every run. I may not be getting any Olympic medals, but I still give myself a big gold star ⭐️.

What gold star moment have you had lately? What are you proud of? (This doesn’t have to be running related!)
