Let’s run together

As your run coach, I will take the guess work out of your training. I believe in you, and I will help you see just how far you can go.

Why I want to work with you

I am a runner, too. For years, I didn’t think that I “needed” or “deserved” to have a coach because I wasn’t a professional athlete. In 2020, I decided to hire a running coach (yes, coaches need coaches too!) and it completely changed the way I train. I no longer had to second guess my program (was I over training? not working hard enough?), and any time I had questions I got answers that were relevant to me. My coach validated my needs when I asked for an extra day off, and knew when to push me. I am forever grateful for her.

Having my own coach made me realize how much I wanted other runners to have the same experience as me. Our culture puts a lot of emphasis on constantly hustling and being “the best”, without taking into perspective the different things we go through as individuals. Regardless of their level, I want every runner to realize that their worth doesn’t depend on hitting certain times or comparing themselves to others. I want to help you work towards your goals while also fostering that love you have for running. I want you to develop into that balanced, life-long runner that your body and mind deserve.

My approach to coaching

Less hustle, more grace. I offer judgement-free coaching that allows you to show up exactly as you are.

While we work together, you will see that I put a heavy emphasis on communication. Building your training program is only part of the equation — I want to know how your runs feel. I want to challenge you, but I also understand that you have a life outside your training program. We all experience stress every day, from our jobs, our relationships, and our workouts. Whether you are training for your first 5k or you are trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon, all of this comes into play.

I am a UESCA certified running coach and ultrarunning coach and I have a BSc and MSc from McGill University. The training I have done (and therefore the advice I will give) is based on science and evidence-based research.

Run Coaching Options

I offer two tiers of run coaching so you can choose the level of structure that best supports your goals and your current season of running. Both options include a personalized program based on where you are and where you want to go, plus ongoing communication and support. The difference is in how detailed your training gets.

Not sure which option fits you best? No problem! After you submit your discovery form, we’ll talk through your goals and find the tier that makes the most sense for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! I work with runners of all levels. Whether you’re just starting out, building consistency, training for your first race, or working toward a personal best in a marathon, I’ll create a plan tailored to your goals and your current level. You can choose between my Standard Run Coaching, which offers a detailed, progressive plan with weekly updates, or Habit Builder Coaching, a simpler, consistency-focused plan with monthly updates—both include my support and guidance every step of the way.

  • I love helping beginners build confidence, consistency, and endurance. We’ll start slow, set realistic goals, and gradually increase your mileage and stamina. I’ll guide you every step of the way, making sure you’re enjoying the journey and avoiding burnout.

  • I coach runners with a wide range of goals, including those training for marathons and ultras, or improving their race times. I’ll create a customized plan that focuses on your specific performance targets, helping you improve your pacing, endurance, and race strategy.

  • It depends on your goals and the level of structure you want. Standard Run Coaching is ideal if you want a detailed, progressive program with weekly updates. This plan is great for training for a race, improving performance, or following structured workouts. Weekly updates let the program adapt to your progress and goals, making it more personalized.

Habit Builder Coaching is a simpler, consistency-focused plan with monthly updates. It is often ideal for runners doing 2 to 3 runs per week. It can work for anyone who wants a lighter, easy-effort schedule without speed work. Monthly updates keep the plan simple while still providing guidance and accountability.

If you are not sure which option is right for you, do not worry. After you submit your discovery form, we will talk through your goals and current routine to find the plan that makes the most sense.

  • As your coach, I’ll create a personalized running plan just for you, based on your goals, fitness level, and schedule. Here’s what I do:

    • Create a Custom Plan: I design your weekly running schedule, including what days to run, how long to run, and what paces to aim for. This might include easy runs, tempo runs, long runs, or speed work, depending on your goals. Your plan will be in Training Peaks, where you can easily track your runs and progress.

    • Pacing and Rest: I’ll help you understand what paces to run for each type of workout, whether it’s a slower recovery run or a faster interval. I also make sure you’re getting the right balance of rest days to avoid injury and burnout.

    • Adjust Your Plan: Life happens! If something comes up or you need to adjust your training, I’ll tweak your plan to make sure it’s still realistic and effective.

    • Provide Feedback and Support: After each workout, I’ll check in to see how things went. If you’re struggling with motivation, paces, or anything else, I’m here to give you advice, answer questions, and keep you on track.

  • That’s okay! I’ll help you find the right mix of training that works for you, whether that’s focusing more on endurance, strength, or other aspects of fitness.

  • We’re going to get along just fine! Walking is a valid and valuable part of training. Many runners incorporate walking breaks into their routines, and I’ll make sure your plan reflects what works best for you. You’re still a runner, even if you walk during your runs!

  • I don’t provide specific meal plans, but I can guide you on what/when to eat before and during your runs to optimize your performance. If you experience any GI issues during your runs or find yourself low on energy, I can help troubleshoot and suggest strategies to address these things. For more detailed nutrition guidance, I can recommend a registered dietitian.

  • My focus as a run coach is to help you figure out when and how to incorporate strength sessions into your running schedule. I’ll take into account any other activities you're doing, alongside your running, to ensure a balanced routine that aligns with your goals.

I also offer strength training programs for an additional cost. However, these are virtual plans, so you won’t have the benefit of in-person guidance on how to perform each exercise. If you're new to strength training, I recommend seeking a local trainer or other resources for hands-on support.

  • Currently, all coaching is done virtually, so we won’t have in-person meetings. I’m always available via email and text for questions, feedback, and support.

  • Fill in the Discovery Form to give me a little bit of information about you as a runner. I’ll get back to you by email, and if we’re a good fit, we’ll dive right in!
